How does NetFire respond to government requests for data?

NetFire, like all hosting providers, is required to submit customer data when it receives valid legal process from a government agency with jurisdiction. Our legal team carefully examines each request to verify that the government is entitled to the data they seek. Furthermore, clients are always informed of government requests for their data (unless we are legally prohibited from doing so), giving them time to legally challenge the request if they choose.

What additional steps can customers take to safeguard their data?

  • SSL, VPN, or other network security measures to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Manage access controls (e.g. identity access management and security credentials) and control the format of their content (e.g. plain text, masked, or encrypted).
  • Delete or destroy server content whenever necessary.
